What is Inclusive Design?

The objective is to create adaptable and user-friendly solutions that enable individuals to participate fully according to their specific circumstances. Inclusive design finds application in multiple domains and contributes to building a society that is inclusive and fair by incorporating diverse viewpoints and considering the requirements of all users.

This can be achieved by providing multilingual support, offering translation services, and incorporating culturally diverse learning materials. Moreover, fostering cultural sensitivity and inclusivity within the learning environment creates a welcoming atmosphere that benefits all learners.

Moreover, it is beneficial to incorporate frequent pair or small group activities, allowing students ample opportunities to hone their conversational abilities. By implementing these adjustments, students can engage more actively in spoken language practice and further develop their speaking skills.
Lack of confidence can act as a barrier to student success in the role-playing activity, as some students may feel hesitant or lack the necessary confidence to speak Chinese, particularly in front of their peers. This inhibits their ability to actively participate and engage in the activity.

I agree with your idea that it is important to offer more opportunities for language learners, not only for Chinese language learners. As a language learner studying English as my second language, I know how important it is to communicate with others in English. Spoken language is not what you can fully acquire through reading text or taking notes. The key is bold to speak English or any language that you are learning. The options that you offered are quite appropriate and interesting, especially the idea of debate. Also, thanks for mentioning that confidence is a key to success in language learning because learning a new language is not easy but every learner should be confident about it!
